If you are waiting for membership approval your IP address will be checked through a SPAM database, if it is listed you will not be approved and possibly banned.

Checking IP addresses I find that there are a lot of people that have anywhere from 2 to several thousand hits on their IP address.
The ones with lower hits might be caused from "Malware" on your computer.

If you have been denied approval to this site you might want to run a good Malware/anti-virus program and clean your hard drive.

In the past 2 days I have denied approval to hundreds of IP's trying to sign up here because they are listed on a spam lis.
I have also banned a few IP's if they had several thousand hits on a "spam list", I haven't done them all because this is a time consuming process.

I'm amazed at how many spammers are trying to get on this board.
I have deleted or banned thousands of member or those waiting for member approval.
Some are pretty persistent, when I check their IP on a spam list server they come back with hundreds of hits, several different emails and user names, I ban the ones with several hundred hits.
Some are on this board under several emails and user names which makes my job easy because I can delete them all at once.

I would say only 2-5 out of every 100 make through the checks I do.

Another thing I noticed is I'm getting a lot less email spam since I've been deleting members with spam hits which tells me there are email harvester on this board...or there were, anyone else notice this? (if you have your email listed on here)
